George Frampton is senior of counsel in the Covington & Burlings New York office and a member of the Clean Energy and Climate industry group. 

Mr. Frampton served as Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) from 1998 to 2001, and most recently as Co-Chairman of the Obama transition team for CEQ.

As Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Mr. Frampton was the President’s principal advisor on environmental policy matters leading a staff of two dozen environmental professionals.  Prior to heading the CEQ, Mr. Frampton served from 1993 to 1997 as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish, Wildlife and Parks, with responsibility for supervising the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  He chaired a number of government-wide major regional initiatives within the Clinton Administration including restoration of the Florida Everglades Ecosystem and distribution of funds from the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Restoration Fund. 

Mr. Frampton has represented clients in complex litigation, and environmental and energy matters including corporate strategy.  He represented Vice President Gore on a Justice Department inquiry into fundraising matters.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is best know for creating easyJet in 1995, at the age of 28. Prior to founding the low-cost airline that revolutionized European air travel, Stelios created Stelmar, a shipping company which was floated on the New York Stock Exchange in 2001 and subsequently sold to a rival in 2005.

True to his beliefs in serial entrepreneurship, Stelios consolidated the ownership of the easy brand into his private company, easyGroup, comprising several easy-branded businesses - all dedicated to offering consumers more value for money

Paul Clements-Hunt Head of Unit, UNEP FI Paul Clements-Hunt has been the Head of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Finance Initiative (FI) since November 2000. UNEP FI, based in Geneva, is the largest partnership between the United Nations and the financial services sector counting more than 170 banks, insurers and asset managers as members. Prior to joining the United Nations, Paul spent 1998-2000 representing the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) directing the organisation’s policy work in energy, environment and sustainable development. From 1991 to 1998, he was based in Bangkok, Thailand, where he founded the country’s first environmental strategy consultancy which developed projects throughout Southeast Asia. Paul graduated BA Economics from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and completed postgraduate studies in journalism at University College, Cardiff.

James Cameron is an Executive Director and Vice Chairman of Climate Change Capital. He is responsible for strategic and sector development and represents the firm at the highest levels of business and government.

James is a member of GE's ecomagination board, Pepsico UK's advisory board, chairman of the World Economic Forum's Agenda Council on Climate Change, a trustee member of the UK Green Building Council and the Carbon Disclosure Project, a member of the Prime Minister's Business Advisory Group and a member of the Green Investment Bank Commission.

James is a pre-eminent expert in developing policy responses to climate change. Prior to CCC he was Counsel to Baker & McKenzie and was the founder and the head of their Climate Change Practice.

James has spent much of his legal career working on climate change matters, including negotiating the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol as an adviser to the Alliance of Small Island States. He has held academic positions at Cambridge, London, Bruges and Sydney and is currently affiliated with the Yale Centre for Environmental Law and Policy. As a barrister he appeared in several of the leading cases in environmental law.

James is also a member of Oxfam's development board, a senior advisor to the Climate Group, a member of the Smith School's development board and chairman of China Dialogue.

John joined VantagePoint as a Venture Partner in 2008 and has been a member of the CleanTech Advisory Council for the past three years. He was formerly the CIO of BP and a member of the BP Group Senior Leadership Team, where he was closely involved in the development of corporate policy on technology foresight, global environmental performance, and sustainability. John was honored as Commander, The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by the Queen in her 2004 New Year's Honour List in recognition of outstanding contribution and leadership to the international digital technology agenda. John is a graduate of Glasgow University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Peter joined The Carbon War Room as  Director of Operations following over ten years in the Virgin Group.
He has recently moved to Washington DC after two years as CEO of Virgin Mobile South Africa, leading the first and only Virtual Mobile Operator on the African continent, tripling its size over the period. Prior to that, he was VP of Marketing for Virgin Mobile USA in New York, leading the launch of the inaugural Virgin Festival USA and its Pro-social initiative, while the company grew from 0.5m to 5m customers. This followed various managerial and marketing roles in the Virgin Group in London.
Peter's started his career at McKinsey & Company (working in London, India and South Africa) after graduating from Oxford University with BA Honours in Philosophy, Politics & Economics.

John Miles is a Main Board Director at Arup Group, a global firm of design and business consultants.
John's professional background is in engineering, where he developed expertise in the design of buildings and products to withstand extreme loads such as earthquakes, bomb-blasts and crashes. For the past decade, he has been closely involved with developing business strategy for Arup and has developed experience of operating in China in the course of that activity.
John has recently been personally involved in projects such as the design of the world's first Eco-City at Dongtan (near Shanghai) and the acquisition of MG-Rover by the Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC).

Prior to joining Aster Capital in early 2010, Julien has been an entrepreneur in charge of the strategic marketing at Antelink, an IT start-up created in 2009. There, he also participated to the closing of the first fund raising. Previously, Julien worked with Agoranov, a science-based high-tech incubator, where he coached more than 20 companies to be launched.
Julien graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique, a top-leading French engineering school, and studied entrepreneurship at the Ecole des Mines de Paris.

Yvette Go is Investment Manager at SET Venture Partners (SET VP), the management company of the Sustainable Energy Technology (SET) Fund. The Fund's key objective is to invest in European early-stage technology companies in the area of energy production and energy efficiency. Founded in 2007, SET VP secured € 50 million from two major utility companies in The Netherlands.
Yvette's focus is on companies in the areas of biomass & biofuels, waste-to-energy, energy efficiency, hydrogen and fuel cells. She serves on the Boards of O-Flexx Technologies GmbH and PhotoSolar A/S. Yvette joined SET VP in 2008, following 10 years in the chemical industry, working for the companies Shell and DSM. During this time, she held various managerial and commercial positions, including those of global Product Portfolio Manager at DSM Powder Coating Resins, Key Account Manager at DSM Desotech and Senior Purchasing Officer at DSM Purchasing Services. She started her career as Research Associate for flexible polyurethanes at Shell International Chemicals. Yvette holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from IESE Business School's Global Executive program (Spain) and a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands).

Alessio Beverina is Partner in technology where he focuses in the cleantech field. Alessio started with Sofinnova Partners in April 2005 as an analyst within the technology team, focusing on the semiconductor, components, energy, materials and systems domains. He is now fully dedicated to cleantech. He began his career in 1997 as a researcher at LETI, one of the most important European Labs in the research field applied to electronics. From 2000 to 2003, he worked in the central R&D group for STMicroelectronics, in charge of advanced CMOS technologies. Alessio holds 5 patents and has published several publications. Alessio graduated from Politecnico di Milano, with a degree in chemical engineering, specialising in the chemistry and physics of solid materials, and with an MBA from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP-EAP). Alessio is a Kauffman Fellow.
Alessio currently serves on the boards of McPhy Energy, Revolt and Neosens.

Benjamin is heading client relations at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, based in the head office in London. In his current capacity he oversees the company's research liaison team, acting as the bridge between clients and the company's research and analyst teams from all sectors including; Bioenergy, Wind, Solar, Energy Smart Technologies, CCS and Geothermal and Carbon markets. Prior to heading client relations, Benjamin led the Venture Capital and Private Equity research team.
Before joining Bloomberg New Energy Finance, Benjamin was a strategic consultant at Nestle , focusing on the optimization of resources. Before Nestle, he was a part of the integration M&A team Axa Assurence.
Benjamin was awarded BA HEC Montreal in International Business and an MA in Economics and managements from HEC Lausanne Business school.

co-founder of Aloe Private Equity, is an experienced international executive and proven entrepreneur with an in-depth background in building technology start-up companies.
Prior to Aloe, Vivek co-founded a number of high technology companies including VICOM Group International. He has held several senior executive management positions including Viventures (a USD$700m Venture Capital Fund as UK Managing Director), CIENA, Kymata, British Telecommunications PLC and Motorola.

Vivek is vice-chairman of Allied Technology Group, a 140 person environmental engineering company, focused on waste water treatment, air pollution treatment for power plants and coal gasification with revenues of US$120m in 2006. He also sits on the boards of Maxsys, Recupyl and Greenko Group. 

He has a BSc in Physics from Imperial College and a PhD from University of London (UCL). He holds several patents and has published many papers.
